Nepali 7 Mukhi Rudraksha
This is the Nepali 7 Mukhi Rudraksha. Nepali beads are the most effective Rudraksha and only this bead will give you the benefits of 7 Mukhi Rudraksha that I have mentioned before. Nepali beads have broad mukhs and a natural hole in the center through which the bead is connected to its tree. Fake beads and Bhadraksha don’t have any hole in the center, you have to manually drill a hole in them. Nepali 7 Mukhi comes in small to large size. Bigger and denser the bead, more energy it will contain and thus will be more effective. Smallest 7 Mukhi comes in 15mm size and you will find this bead for 500-600rs on many online sites. This bead is too small in size and not that effective hence we don’t keep this small bead in stock. What’s the point in wearing a bead that isn’t even effective? Indonesian 7 Mukhi Rudraksha
This is the Indonesian 7 Mukhi Rudraksha. Its the smallest in size and lightest in weight. The Mukhs in them are like tiny lines and these are not at all effective when compared to the Nepali beads. These have pretty low amounts of energy and that is why we never recommend you to wear a single bead, Indonesian 7 Mukhi should always be worn in a 108+1 beads mala. You can wear this mala as a substitute but the first preference should always be given to the Nepali 7 Mukhi Rudraksha as they are the most effective beads.
- As per MahaShivPuran, the only real way of testing whether a Seven Mukhi is original or not is to cut the bead in half from the middle and count the number of compartments inside. It should match the number of Mukhs outside so an Original 7 Mukhi Rudraksha will have just seven compartments inside. Number of seeds can vary but the number of compartments will be the same as per the Mukhs.
- With today’s technology, we don’t need to cut the bead. Same result can be obtained with X-Ray.

- There are many “tests” mentioned online but none of them are completely accurate. For Ex – it is said that a natural bead will sink in water whereas a fake bead will float in water which can’t be further from the truth.
- A natural bead with air and moisture trapped inside will float in water whereas if you put just a tiny drop of any heavy metal like lead inside a fake hand crafted bead, it will sink in water.
