1 Mukhi Rudraksha is itself Lord Shiva and it is very rare to find. For the welfare of all beings, Lord Shiva created Rudraksha beads from his eyes in the form of tears. One Mukhi Rudraksha was formed from the first tear that fell from his eyes and that is why it is considered as the most Divine and the most important Rudraksha in the world.

What are the benefits of 1 Mukhi Rudraksha?

What are the different types of One Mukhi Rudraksha available?

Indian 1 Mukhi Bhadraksha

This Indian half moon or cashew shape One Mukhi Bhadraksha is the most commonly available one mukhi in the market and you can get it in around Rs.1000 – Rs.3000 depending on the size and weight. Bigger and heavier the bead costlier it will be.

Problem is that its a BHADRAKSHA and not a real Rudraksha. Bhadraksha are fruits of a tree found in India that are identical to a Rudraksha but they don’t have any magnetic properties or energy so you will get NO Benefits after wearing it. Instead of buying this, I would recommend you to save your money as this Bhadraksha won’t give you any benefits.

Round Nepali 1 Mukhi Rudraksha

From the past 20 years not even a single Round One Mukhi has been found in Nepal so its impossible to get them. All Nepali One Mukhi that you see online are either fake or unformed 4 or 5 Mukhi which have 1 fully formed Mukh on the outside but 4 or 5 compartments inside.

People are selling 4 or 5 Mukhi Rudraksha which are not fully ripe yet as Nepali Round 1 Mukhi Rudraksha. Please don’t waste your hard earned money on those. The picture on your left is also of an unformed 5 Mukhi bead, it has one mukh on the outside but five compartments on the inside.

Indonesian 1 Mukhi Rudraksha

This is the Indonesian One Mukhi Rudraksha. Its the smallest in size and lightest in weight yet as of now only this bead can be considered as a real one mukhi and this tiny bead can give you the benefits of 1 Mukhi Rudraksha. Its quite a rare bead hence comes at a higher price but you will get it at the lowest price in the market at Rudra Gems.

All i want to say to you is that no matter how cheap you buy the half moon shape Indian one mukhi, in the end that bead will cost you more because that is not a real Rudraksha and it won’t have any effects so whatever money you spend on that will get wasted.

Nepali 1 Mukhi SAWAR Rudraksha

Then there are people who break off the One Mukhi part from the Sawar Rudraksha, smoothen it a bit and then sell it as a Natural Nepali 1 Mukhi Rudraksha. Sawar Rudraksha is that bead which has a One Mukhi sitting on top of another bead hence the name “Sawar”.

People break off that One Mukhi part which damages the bead. In my opinion, people who intentionally damage a Rudraksha are doing a sin.

How to test authenticity of a Rudraksha Bead?

As per MahaShivPuran, the only real way of testing whether a One Mukhi is original or not is to cut the bead in half from the middle and count the number of compartments inside. It should match the number of Mukhs outside so an original 1 Mukhi Rudraksha will have just 1 compartment inside but with today’s technology, we don’t need to cut the bead. Same result can be obtained with X-Ray. That is why we get all our One Mukhi Rudraksha tested from an independent, Govt. approved lab named IGL. They test all the beads under X-Ray and only after verifying that the bead has only one single compartment inside do they certify it as a natural bead. You will get the lab certificate along with each of our 1 Mukhi Rudraksha.

There are many “tests” mentioned online but none of them are completely accurate. For Ex – it is said that a natural bead will sink in water whereas a fake bead will float in water. This can’t be further from the truth as a natural bead with air and moisture inside will float in water whereas if you put just a tiny drop of any heavy metal like lead inside a fake hand crafted bead, it will sink in water. So the only sure way of knowing whether the bead is genuine or not is an X-ray from an independent lab.

Who can wear One Mukhi Rudraksha?

Anyone can wear any combination of Rudraksha beads because unlike gemstones, these beads do not have any negative or side effects. If you are facing a problem related to the benefits that I have mentioned above then you can surely wear the 1 Mukhi Rudraksha. Unlike gemstones you do not need to get your horoscope or rashi checked before wearing Rudraksha beads, you can just know the benefits of that bead and wear accordingly. These beads are Unisex so both men and women can wear them.

Mantra & how to wear this Rudraksha bead?

What are the precautions needed after wearing 1 Mukhi Rudraksha?

The wearer should avoid eating non-veg food, alcohol and visiting cemetery while wearing the 1 Mukhi Rudraksha. If you have to then first remove the bead and place it in your place of worship or if you are outside then you can put it in your bag or pocket first and then wear it again the next day after taking a bath. Don’t consume non-veg or alcohol while wearing the bead.

You should also remove the bead every night before going to sleep and wear it again the next morning after freshening up and taking a bath.
